There once was a vain technocrat
Who thought he’d try on a new hat
But he found politics
Demands much different tricks
And quite soon on his face he fell flat

Wind turbines spring up everywhere
And into the wind they all stare
When it then starts to blow
They can turn fast or slow
Yielding energy peaks that should scare

Global warming, CO2
Climate change
Words seen anew
In the media owned by those
Who gladly lead us by the nose

Twisted facts and outright lies
Used to aid
Them in their fight
Not to serve the good of man
But rob us any way they can

Carbon credits, methods green
That must be clean
Politicians play their game
Designed to dull, exploit, and tame

Freedoms ebbing, rights for sale
Speak the truth
To no avail
Money rules in wonderland.
Where dreams are built upon quicksand

Give me a day without hearing
Of war, allied forces, decay
Of ways to manipulate others
And make both the friend and foe pay
Of terrorists lurking in shadows
Of tyranny’s cancerous spread
Of politics feigning the answers
Of living with fear till one’s dead.
The world of man haunts every moment
And keeps our eyes turned from the light
In darkness we grope for a candle
A spark of hope in the cold night.

Dust Bowl

February, cold and gray
As is the news
Of pointing fingers
Guilty thoughts
Seeping intrigue
Weeping hearts
Empires crumbling
People stumbling
Rocks and rubble
Nought for trouble
Hope in vain
Striving pain
Enough of rhyming
Hitting words
Stir the ice
Thawing slowly

Wave mechanics

I’m quaking; I’m shaking from news that appears
across my horizon and down through the spheres.
Electromagnetic waves crashing all round
will cause something nasty one day, I’ll be bound.

Re-focussing quickly on what I can see
I try to remember how things used to be
before the invasion of wave upon wave
of mind-numbing tidings, which somehow I crave.

The newspaper dies on the floor at my side.
A magazine open has headlines that tried.
The radio DJ is plucking at strings
that weakly still hold up my sanity’s wings.

I wonder what happens if someone decides
to switch off the stream where humanity hides
or there’s a transmission from out there in space
that brings sudden silence to annoy the race.

I realise my ramblings are more of the same
But hope that they kindle and not douse the flame
Of growing awareness that once burning bright
May bend back the onslaught and let in some light.

Inspired by this article (and a spate of follow-ups) concerning the terror alert on the eve of elections in America. It could mean the end of printer cartridges, as we know them.

I close my eyes in disbelief
And open them again
But nothing’s changed upon the page
A world that’s gone insane

Explosive printer cartridges
From Yemen and by plane
Through gaps in tight security
A world that’s gone insane

Bold accusations left and right
Truth seekers search in vain
Denials so often heard before
A world that’s gone insane

Elections in America
Something to ease the pain
Of rulers now unpopular
A world that’s gone insane

The people tired of threats and fear
Their freedom to restrain
While others plot to dominate
A world that’s gone insane

Thoughts on reading this article on Prison Planet

Foreign soldiers on our soil
Waiting for the blood to boil
Observing only, leaders say
Their presence symbol of decay

Weapons can be used to quell
With uncaring hands from hell
Those who protest fascist ways
While the fires of freedom blaze

Let those who would rule beware
Lest they in the muzzles stare
When the wheel of fortune turns
And their Tower of Babel burns.

The 2010 Bilderberg meeting is taking place in Sitges, Spain. Members of the elite, including active politicians, economic experts, media and business moguls, gather once a year in secrecy to discuss world problems and how to solve them.
If you thought that our elected leaders were the only ones making the big decisions well think again.
Charlie Skelton of the British Guardian Newspaper is at the scene and his observations can be read here.

The Trilever Consultancy here is also covering the meeting.

So, according to the latest news the solution to the financial problems caused by instability within the European Union (EU) is a further reduction of national sovereignty and the centralisation of economic power. As all member states have budget deficits, nearly 500 billion euro is being plucked out of thin air by their finance ministers to give the EU an economic boost. This is to satisfy international investors whose doubts concerning the future stability of the EU were causing the value of the euro to plummet. The fact that this move merely increases the total debt hasn’t escaped everyone 🙂 and one might suspect that clever investors would remain unconvinced unless they know something the rest don’t.

Billion here = 1000 million.

Many of the European Union’s (EU) member governments are plunging deeper into debt to bail out the Greek government’s far larger one incurred by the incompetence and corrupt practices of its leaders. A group of lawyers in Germany is filing a suit against its state because these actions it says are illegal according to the EU’s constitution. I quote from an article, one of many on the subject:
“The complaint will argue that the rescue contains an illegal rate subsidy, threatens monetary stability as encoded in the Maastricht Treaty, and breaches the ‘no bail-out’ clause. Greece is clearly responsible for its own mess.”

The fraud involving the facts supporting the theory of man-made global warming, committed by scientists and politicians to enforce carbon taxes on the world population, is still being perpetuated. Their refusal to instigate an independent inquiry into the affair lends even more support to those who suspect their motives to be purely political and financial.

According to secret documents acquired by Fox News, the UN is secretly planning a new “green” world order based on the myth of global warming. The taxpayers of the “richer nations” are going to pay for it to the tune of $45 trillion dollar.
From the Fox News article I quote:

Despite the debacle of the failed Copenhagen climate change conference last December, the United Nations is pressing full speed ahead with a plan for a greatly expanded system of global environmental governance and for a multitrillion-dollar economic transfer scheme to ignite the creation of a “global green economy.“‘

Yet another Dutch government fell yesterday
over the will to fight in a land far away
where the people are tired of those hired for the kill
and those whose sole desire is to plunder at will.
Coalitions are all we know here in this place
left and right giving ground but without losing face.
All important decisions the future await
while the people are treated like sheep which most hate
only good for the giving, no room to protest,
while the wolves roam around seeking those to digest.
Cleverness and bold cunning: the traits to pursue.
Enemies lie in waiting to pop up on cue.
Solutions, solutions, all that man has tried
has failed through corruption that peace to provide.
Again there’s a list of those smiling our way
promising better times, a long worn-out cliché.

Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth. By simply not mentioning certain subjects… totalitarian propagandists have influenced opinion much more effectively than they could have by the most eloquent denunciations.
Aldous Huxley

So, the first steps are being made by the elite to censor the Internet. Only mass protest can prevent them succeeding.

Strange things happen to old-timers – not the automobile variety but the human male one. Such as peeing in two directions at once, a renewed interest in attractive young women, and suddenly finding old tunes and other memories, that prove surprisingly resistant to aging, rising up from the cellar of youth to haunt again. I assume I’m not the only one afflicted by the latter. Well, I think not.
It’s as if the body is saying to the brain, ‘Look, I’ve got an awful lot of old memories stashed away down here and there’s hardly any room for anything new, so I’m throwing this one up there again for you to decide if it’s worth keeping.’ Read more, also World Political news

So, it is finally officially recognized that the Mexican Flu pandemic was a storm in a teacup. I read today in the newspaper that the Commission of the European Union (EU) is to hold a hearing to investigate the role played by the pharmaceutical companies involved. (more…)

I don’t want to appear unsympathetic to the poor people of Haiti who were already suffering greatly even before the earthquake, but I do wonder about the way aid is being regulated. The reported lack of coordination among the help organizations and the local authorities is again leading to much confusion, delay, and waste of financial and material resources. (more…)

Here in the Netherlands the government is trying to introduce a law which makes people guilty until proved innocent – the mouth-watering desire of all dictatorial regimes. The law gives government officials the right to enter homes without permission to control whether people are making fraudulent use of social subsidies. There would be penalties for refusing entrance. I wanted to write something yesterday about the new body scanners  soon to be used at airports and the reasons behind their introduction, but there were so many other tasks to carry out that I didn’t get around to it. Anyway, here it is.

In a Christmas message the Queen of the Netherlands discredits social internet sites such as Hyves and Twitter because they are dividing people by undermining personal social contact.
Strange that a member of the elite should state such a thing when so many people see this as a positive development allowing contact and an exchange of ideas across borders and social barriers.
It does fall in line, however, with elite attempts via expanding western governments to reduce freedom of speech to have more control over the population and eventually to introduce a dictatorial world government. Yes, they have long been preaching that politics has failed to produce stability in the world and that the only alternative is a dictatorship run by the scientific/industrial complex with private banks controlling the money. This means that the human rights of (extra)ordinary people such as you and I will gradually be stripped away.
The power of the unelected UN is being expanded to become a world ruling body. Its security forces are already being given immunity from international and national laws to operate within sovereign borders. Eminent politicians, including the European Union’s President, have admitted that setting the basis for a world government was an important goal of the Copenhagen Conference.
Elected members of government are capitulating to the demands of private international entities by ignoring legitimate doubts and concerns and squandering huge amounts of taxpayers’ money. They are destroying national sovereignty without regard for public opinion as the largely unilateral governmental ratification of the Treaty of Lisbon, where three referenda were ignored, clearly shows.
Call me an old fashioned stick-in-the-mud but it seems to me that tyranny should be avoided at all costs.
