I have too much on my mind
Just too many thoughts that bind
Future dates with things to do
Of uncertainties a queue
Minutes turning into hours
Stretch the limits of my powers
Even sleep is shorter now
Restless moments disallow
Time to take a stock of sorts
Of the varying reports
From the rim of senses touch
Yes, it really is too much

it’s certainly that time of year.. cause i feel the same
The world being a little mad doesn’t help 🙂
Sensory overload – I can really relate to this one, nice quick flow which lends to the image of onrushing info coming in faster than can be processed – nice.
Thanks, Bob. It was hard to stop at the last line 🙂
Good poem, and I really relate!
Thanks Madeleine
And the internet and computers just keep heaping it on us, Jan. What was life like without all this information? It was quiet. lol 🙂
Nice piece of writing.
Thanks, Paul. Sometimes I feel I’m shouting into a storm 🙂
That’s how I always feel in winter … I guess in summer too, but then with the sunshine and the nice days I don’t notice it. But in winter everything is too much … way too much, and sleep is never enough 🙂
Hi, Blaga. Sorry I missed your valued comment until now. Sometimes an uninhabited island with waiter service does call 🙂
Escape! 😀
An uninhabited island and a map with an “X” on it 🙂
