So the American Congress has narrowly passed a bill to impose a national energy tax to reduce carbon emissions. It is reported that Republicans say Democrats are ramming their climate-change legislation through the House without enough time for members to read the bill (more than 1200 pages) — let alone to understand it — all in violation of their promises about creating a more transparent legislative process.
Have you heard this before?
This will be an enormous extra burden on those who are already suffering from the financial crisis, caused by bankers and politicians, most of whom have yet to receive any form of punishment. If the Senate also passes the bill, which is in some doubt, it won’t be long before everyone in the world is paying this extra tax, mark my words.
It is all based on the hysteria and propaganda concerning global warming and the destructive effects of carbon emissions for which there is no hard evidence, just a lot of juggling with statistics and the results of primitive computer models (compared to the enormous complexities of the real climate) that can come to almost any conclusion by small adjustments of the input parameters. Even so, climate change through global warming has already become a world wide zillion dollar business and I’m sure those involved from science and industry would not like to see its foundations removed any time soon, so it would seem that they have a vested interest in maintaining them at all costs.
That government, even in the midst of a world wide depression, is eager to impose even more financial burdens on its tax payers based on dubious conclusions is beyond belief. And it goes on and on. The only ones who can get us out of this world wide mess are already lumbered with zillions of dollars of government debt.
